President Henry B. Eyring, first counselor in the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will celebrate his 76th birthday Sunday.\"President Eyring will be celebrating his birthday Sunday evening at home with family members and friends,\" according to Scott Trotter, LDS Church spokesman.Born May 31, 1933, in Princeton, N.J., President Eyring has served as a general authority of the church for more than 24 years.He was called as first counselor in the presiding bishopric on April 6, 1985. He was sustained to the First Quorum of the Seventy on Oct. 3, 1992, and ordained an apostle on April 6, 1995.President Eyring was set apart as second counselor in the First Presidency on Oct. 11, 2007, and was sustained as first counselor on April 5, 2008.
